Important:
There is an additional lead time of up to 5 business days on standard rifle safe products, and several weeks on custom orders.

Position and Dimensions:
Pangolin R (box safe) vehicle safes are dimensioned to suit the vehicle, installation location and weapons. Usually oriented horizontally with weapons laid flat or upright. Customised interior furnishing protects weapons from damage by preventing bumping against one other or the safe.
Opening:
The full access opening can be built to be at the top or front of the safe along a long side. When front opening, the hinge is usually located at the top. The angle at the full open position can be up to 180°, depending on space available in the vehicle.
Mounting
The safe can be mounted flat on the floor of the vehicle or raised on mounting brackets.
Raised mountings are useful for sedans and hatchbacks as this allows stowage space under the safe and access to the boot well for spare wheel and jack, etc.

Being larger and heavier than our smaller handgun safes, installation of a rifle safe needs some consideration and care.
It is essential that the Pangolin rifle safe is secured to the steel body or floor of your vehicle as no other option is compliant. Consult with Pangolin to assist in finding a suitable location. If it is difficult to access the underside of the bodywork, Pangolin or your installer can provide a special fastener that can attach securely to the bodywork from one side only (NB: conventional bolts will be too long and Standard Rivnuts® are NOT approved for this purpose). It is also essential that your Pangolin long arm safe is secured with ALL of the high tensile or stainless steel bolts supplied and in the designated positions.
Pangolin products are locally manufactured using proprietary technology protected with patents and registered designs. Check out our Vehicle Rifle Safes (R for Box and T for Tubular) Technical Specifications:
